Waiba homestay is Started by Biru Tamang in 23rd February 2008. Sillery is located at the height of 6000ft. Specialty of the place is the window view of ten hug Himalayan ranges named as Kanchenjunga, Pandim, Kumbakarna, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri one side, China peak, Bhutan Peak, Kupuk peak, South Kapru & North Kapru and about twenty small Himalayas. Waiba Homestay is run by family members. Here plenty of medicinal plants are available. As these is a Cinchona Plantation area, the winds of cinchona plays all around and hence no any air born disease is nurtured here. Around thirty three families present & 180 people live in Sillery Gaon. A total of thirteen families has homestay & seventy two rooms available in the entire Sillery Gaon.

Mr. Biru is the owner of the resorts also a social worker & has keen interest in making his village into a highly developed one. Even the disabled person or handicapped ones if interested to visit, he has the capability to handle them safely, giving them good care & respect. 35 years ago Sillery Gaon was established. The name was coined from a plant named celery used in salads found abundantly here.
Temperature falls upto 2 degree Centigrade in winter in summer warm upto 24 degree Centigrade Best time to visit: October – may.
